Who is Lynsey Dubbeld?
What do sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, the circular economy and fashion have in common? As a trendanalyst, content strategist & writer I’m covering all these topics. Because I’m convinced that clothes that are made with respect for its makers and for the environment are not a passing trend but a style choice that will never get out of fashion.
I’m a Netherlands based professional with approximately ten years experience in research, policy and communications. Combining a background in ethics and Science & Technology Studies with recent work experience in policy advice and trend analysis, I have gained solid knowledge of sustainability and fashion. My book ‘Mode voor morgen. Duurzame mode in Nederland’ (‘Fashion for the future. Sustainable clothing in the Netherlands’), published in 2012, provides a guide through the jungle of today’s ethical fashion trend, putting the spotlights on Dutch innovations and initiatives that are making the global fashion world more sustainable.
My current work focuses on trend analysis: writing texts and giving presentations based on insights gained from trend monitoring. Trend analysis provides a method to monitor contemporary societal developments and socio-technical innovations, in order to come to understand the meaning and implications of emerging issues. My trend publications have been used by businesses, government organizations, non-profit organizations, ngo’s and the media. I have given a wide range of presentations and lectures on green & fair fashion.
